M&M

There are two more patterns added on my pattern site, which are Melosa and Missie shawl. I have posted photos of these beautiful shawls before here and now they are available for sales.

Melosa is my first ever sideways cresent-shaped shawl that I design and it is a very easy, fast knit. This is definitely an ideal project for new lace shawl knitters. This pattern comes in 3 sizes and you can choose either fingering weight or DK weignt yarn to knit with. I made a small size using a skein of beautiful fingering yarn from Dyeforwool and a large size using Noro Maiko DK weight yarn. I really like how they turn out.

Missie is a rectangular shawl that has the same lace stitch as Frangipani. For knitters who like wearing rectangular shawls, this is a good pattern to try out. A skein of Madelinetosh Sock Logwood is used for my Missie and it is so soft and light weight.

It is already mid year and how many shawl have you knitted? I am trying my best to design 11 shawls in 2011 and now I am at the 8th. Things are going pretty good and I am all happy about it.
