To make this year summer more interesting, I have decided to have my first ever Mystery KAL at Ravelry. This idea seemed bit intimidating but with all the courage from other knitters, I finally set up the clue release schedule and also have the mystery shawl being test knitted at the moment. Everything is going smoothly as I wish.
The sign up of this mystery shawl KAL will begin at the 1st of July, for a week at Ravelry. This is a paid mystery KAL and knitters who sign up within the week will pay a lower price for the pattern and the final pattern will be available for sales after the Mystery KAL is completed by August.
A swatch is included with the sign up as well material information that are required for this KAL. Knitters will have a week to make the swatch with their yarn choice to find out if they like the gauge or not. Also, they have the time to practice some special stitches and more importantly, they get to know a very little what the shawl will look like based on the swatch they make.
I am really thrilled about this KAL and can’t wait to play along with all the knitters who love to join. It is exciting to read the posts in my group at Ravelry regarding this event and I have been trying hard to contain myself not to reveal too much about this shawl. I personally like this shawl a lot and it is such a fun and challenging knit!
Since it is my first mystery KAL, I want to make it more happening. There will be two prizes to give away! The FIRST FO award and the BEST FO award! Prizes will be announced later but most likely they will be yummilicous yarn! There will be a FO thread in my group especially for this KAL and knitters can post their FO there. The FO who receives the most “LOVE” by the end of August will win the BEST FO and of course the first completed/blocked FO in the thread will be the FIRST FO!
Please come join us in this Mystery KAL! The more the merrier! Oh, btw, July is also a birthday month of my hubby. We kinda spoil ourselves too much in the way we celebrate our bd. We get to be bad, spoiled for the whole month! 😀
